Bio
Grace Martin was raised in Anaheim and now calls Denver home. It was working as an Executive Assistant/Production Manager in Los Angeles for Clothing by Frenzii (who designed for labels such as Guess, Arden B, and BCBG) that inspired her love for fashion and beauty.
Grace finally found a way to combine her passion for both. Changing careers and becoming a Hair and Makeup Artist, she has built a resume in the film and TV industry. You can find her credits on IMDb as “Grace Martin XI” which showcases her resume as Key Hairstylist for Deion Sander’s show “We Got Time Today” and her body of work on movies such as “The Man Who Changed the World” and “Welcome to the Fishbowl”.
Coming from a blended family consisting of Korean, Caucasian, Black, Panamanian, Jamaican, Puerto Rican, English, Irish, Nordic and Mexican cultures; Grace made it a point early on in her training to educate and become skilled in all hair textures, types and lengths as well as all skin tones and face shapes. Disappointed in seeing how the industry treated members of her own family differently, based on hair type & skin tone, she wanted to be part of the solution where all beauty is treated & serviced equally. She prides herself on her diverse clientele inclusive of men, women, children, & non binary individuals with every type of hair and skin around the globe. Spending years of intense education from Orange County and Los Angeles, CA, Denver, and New York.
This led to Grace becoming highly sought after, being known in the industry for her ability to work on diverse clientele ranging from all hair textures and types and skin tones. She built her reputation in the production industry encompassing everything from commercials, e-commerce, social content, weddings, and more.
In addition to lending her talents to Film/TV and Production, Grace has found herself in demand within the Fashion World as well. Styling hair for runways such as NYFW The Shows, Fashion Gallery NYFW, Denver Fashion Week, and Westword Fashion Week. Eventually being asked as Hair Lead for multiple seasons for the “Color of Fashion” fashion shows which are primarily focused on inclusivity, deeper skin tones and textured hair found in minority ethnic groups.
As a freelance artist, she continues to combine both beauty and fashion and has had her work published in magazines such as Vogue Italia, Denver Life Magazine, Rocky Mountain Bride, Lucy’s, Luxe Novelty, Novelty Bride, Atlas, Cherry Creek Lifestyle, and Her Life Magazine, amongst other publications.
With all these different mediums to use her HMU talents, she’s had the tremendous pleasure of working on celebrities such as William H. Macy, Jeremy Bloom, The Garcia Twins (formerly known as “The Bella Twins”), Michael Irvin, Tisha Campbell, Pam Grier, Matt Barnes, Kirk Franklin, Chris Webber, Aida Rodriguez, Claressa Shields, Nancy Lieberman, Dr. Bryant, and more.
Always a believer of giving back, Grace has mentored other artists in the industry, spent years as an educator, used her services to support many nonprofit organizations and those in need. She forever considers herself a student of the craft as well as a teacher.
When not on set, backstage, or creating on a production, Grace enjoys spending time with her family. Whether its traveling, making new memories or just hanging out together, she cherishes each experience they create together.
